The remodel.
Well since I have been bitching about living in a construction zone for the past two months, I thought would put a picture on it.
The living room...
As you can see, we no longer have one. We have a door by the fireplace, a saw on the rug, and pretty much everything everywhere else.
My office...Matt tore out all the carpet, so him and his dad are refinishing these great floors that were underneath. Yeah!

Sheet rock competed. Beau did it all for us... bless him!

The tile process was so painstaking. Trying to figure out how to have a modern apace, but stay true to the time period of the home. We ended up going for a black, white, and grey color scheme (I have so much black and grey in the house it's a bit crazy, but I love it so whatever) with the white hex (for the floors.. thank you so much Steve for doing those) and glass tile for the walls. I think all the boys that actually put in on would say that their process was much harder, but what is a finished product if it doesn't look good right? No really, at one point there were like 5 guys in their contemplating how to do it "just right" and of course that included beer and cigar brakes.

Almost done. Tile, paint, lighting (again, thanks Steve), and sink is all completed. Now, we have to get the toilet and shower fixtures. This has taken FOREVER because everything we like just does not fit. Hopefully today Matt and I will order something and get it done!

The bathroom...
Matt in the demo stage. The original bathroom was horrible. It had the dropped ceiling, florescent lighting, mixed matched fixtures and furniture, and 90's tile in the shower and floors. Hated it!!! So Matt and all the guys got to hammer it all out and demo.

The nursery...
Michael did all the woodwork on the walls (such an amazing job). We still have to refinish the floors and put up the base board... wait, and the touch-up paint and the curtains (which mom is making). Then, the foundation of the room will be done and we can start with all the decoration. It has already turned out so nice though, I think I may have to kick her out. We've also saved a bunch via craigslist and getting help so we don't have to hire anyone...thank god for family.
We got the chandelier for only 99 from this lady in Portland. It only needed a bit of repair so I want to the craft store and got colored crystals to update it a bit and some new crystals to replace the ones that were damaged. Saved a ton!

These pics are not the greatest (Matt's phone), but the ceiling is a deep jewel color green/turquoise and the walls are light grey.
